3 TIPS TO KEEP IT DOWN
Under the belt
1
Wear it where your belt goes
The number one complaint about waist-style shirt stays is the band climbing up and showing above the trousers at the back, usually after you sit. It happens when the band sits above the belt line, where nothing is holding it down.
Put the band at the height your belt will sit, then let the belt go on over it. The belt presses the pegs into the waistband of your trousers, and that is what keeps the band down.
Pegs centred
2
Pegs out, centred on your back
The raised pegs face your trousers, not your shirt, and the strip should sit square across the small of your back. That is where a shirt pulls out first when you sit, bend or reach forward.
Check it: run a hand round your back after you hook it. If the strip has slid to one side, turn the band until it is centred.
2 fingers
3
Snug, not tight
You do not have to cinch it. The silicone dots on the inside grip the shirt, so the band works at a comfortable fit. Set it so you can slide two fingers under the band at the front.
Too tight and the elastic works against you all day; too loose and the dots lose contact with the shirt. Set it once and the slider holds that length.

TWO MORE FIXES
Pull the shirt down, then hook
Tuck in and give the shirt a smooth-down tug at the sides before you close the band. Whatever shape the shirt is in when the dots meet it is the shape it holds.
Spare end on the inside
On a smaller waist there is extra strap after the slider. Keep it folded on the inside, against the shirt, so it lies flat and does not show at the front.
What's in the bag
BUILT TO STAY PUT
Grip on both faces: dots for the shirt, pegs for the trousers.
In the bag
1 grip band, black
Fits
One size, adjusts to a 28–46″ waist
Band
1½″ (38 mm) elastic, made to sit under a dress belt
Back strip
Raised rounded pegs across the back, facing the trousers

Low silicone dots, end to end, facing the shirt
Closure
Hook and a smooth slider at the front. No teeth, no holes to line up
Care
Hand wash cold, air dry flat
Two kinds of grip. One job.
Pegs on the back face the trousers, so the belt can hold the band down.
Dots on the inside hold the shirt where you tucked it.
Smooth hardware at the front, so nothing catches a fine shirt.
Quick fixes
TROUBLESHOOTING
Move it down to belt height and fasten your belt over it (tip 1), and check the pegged strip is centred on your back (tip 2). A band above the belt line has nothing pressing it down.
Smooth the shirt down at the sides before you hook the band, then set it snug enough that the inside dots touch the shirt all the way round. Two fingers' room at the front is about right.
Let it out at the slider. The band holds by grip, not squeeze, so it does not need to be tight to work (tip 3).
Fold the end after the slider to the inside, against the shirt, so it lies flat under your trousers.
Yes. Wear it at the height of the jeans' waistband with a belt over it. The belt is what presses the pegs into the denim; without one the band has less to hold against.
For the best hold, yes. The dots hold the shirt, and the belt over the pegs holds the band. With no belt it still grips the shirt, but nothing presses it into the trousers at the back.
Hand wash in cold water and air dry flat. Keep it off the radiator and out of the dryer.
